Dolphins is certainly a wonderful place. My daughter Loren (42) had a major stroke 2 years ago and is paralyzed on the right side of her body. The service and care that she receives from all the staff is more than excellent. She is very happy to be living there and calls it home. I can only highly recommend Dolphins

In October 2017, the current caregiver of Oupa, Leon de Jager gave us a weeks’ notice to make alternative arrangements as she could no longer assist. He was in a fragile state and required 24 hour care and assistance. We could not find anyone who was able to assist on such short notice as you need to make appointments, complete forms and require doctors letters. This could take up to three months. When we got hold of Mathilda at Dolphin’s Corner our prayers were truly answered. We immediately got an appointment, it was a Tuesday and by the Friday he moved into his new friendly environment and home. He was always sick, but because of the staff and Mathilda’s hands-on approach and love for their guests, he got stronger by the day. He is definitely the healthiest he has been in years. He is happy as he is cared for by the best, treated as family rather than a patient. Family is not bound by visiting hours and you always feel welcome when you visit your family at Dolphins Corner. Thank you Mathilda and staff for your excellent friendly service. We appreciate all you do for Oupa Leon and for us.

My mom was at Dolphins Corner till the day she passed away. She was so well looked after and cared for. She loved Mathilda and Hercules as if they were her blood family. The staff was always courteous and caring. As a family were always welcome to visit and we always found her cared for and looking healthy and happy. This is the care a parent deserve! Dolphins Corner was a more than a home or facility. It is a sunny, welcoming and caring haven for the one you love.

We moved my Mom in law last year into Dolphins Corner. Before the move she was aggressive, anti social and anxious. We were all very stressed with the move, however she was welcomed with warmth and has become a changed woman. There is no aggression or anxiety. She has become happy and sociable that has astounded all of us. She couldn’t be happier! She doesn’t miss anything or anyone, as she has company 24/7! When the doctor asked her what was she most happy about with moving to Dolphins Corner, she replied I am never lonely and I always have company. That is testimony to the amazingly caring helpers and staff at Dolphins Corner. We are eternally appreciative of all at Dolphins Corner for giving her a new lease on life!

My ma Susan het op 79 haar heup gebreek. Sy was lank in Intensief en moes toe leer loop. Ons het nie geweet wat ons gaan doen nie want sy het alleen gebly in n woonstel. Deur God se genade en grootsheid het ons op Dolphins Corner afgekom. Dit het ons harte gebreek om moeder daar te los marar Mathilda en Hercules het my ma met soveel liefde ontvang. Sy was dadelik tuis. Ons kon met geruste hart huis toe gaan. Sy was so mooi versorg, gevoed, na gekyk en oorval met liefde. Sy is verlede jaar oorlede, na 5 jaar in Dolphins Corner. Tot die oomblik wat sy haar laaste asem gegee het, het Mathilda en haar personeel saam met ons die pad gestap. Vir moeder was dit haar tweede familie. Sy het gefloreer onder die aandag en omgee. Sy het vriende gemaak met almal en sy het altyd iets gehad om ons te vertel. Die versorging was van top gehalte. Ons het presies geweet wat aangaan en was op hoogte gehou met al moeder se kondisies. Haar medikasie was altyd by haar bord soggens en saans. Die etes was topgehalte en aangepas by moeder se dieet. As familie kan ons Dolphins Corner met geruste hart aanbeveel.

Our story with Mathilda at Dolphins Corner started over two years ago, my mother was almost 70, and Alzheimer's was very quickly progressing, meaning that she had to be in a place of care. We researched all the options available to us and only when we were directed to Dolphins Corner, did we find comfort. My mother needed a place of respect, love, compassion and humanity, and we felt all of these things as soon as we engaged with Mathilda. After reaching agreement and taking my mother to the facility, Mathilda and her team were unstoppable in their preparation for my mother's arrival, naturally the transition was difficult, but this was short lived and within weeks, my mother told me that she was "happy". That was 18 months ago, today, the Alzheimer's has taken over completely, my mother is simply a vessel of the woman she once was, it is heartbreaking and difficult to watch, she cannot do anything for herself. At this point in time, the compassion of Mathilda and her team is inspiring, they care and love my mother, help and serve her every need and while she cannot communicate, I know that she is looked after and cared for. We as the Riley family are happy to answer any questions about our journey with Dolphins Corner and stand in awe of the service that they offer.

Iemand vra my waarom ek in ‘n gaste huis woon, en die antwoord is eenvoudig. Op 94 het ek genoeg gehad van huis netjies maak, kook en aakligste van als skottelgoed was. Maar waarheen? Die kinders het gese “kom bly by ons”, maar ek wou dit nie aan hul doen nie.’n Ou mens bly ‘n ou mens – ons raak moeilik. Vir ‘n jaar was dit ‘n saak van gebed. Op ‘n besoek Alberton toe by my een dogter het iemand ons vertel van Dolphins Corner. Ons het besluit ek is nou hier so kom ons gaan kyk (maar gedurende die jaar was ons almal in elk geval aan die uitkyk). Om kort te gaan, ons was vriendelik ontvang, die kamers gesien, tuine pragtig versorg, oral koeltes en toe ongevraag se ‘n vrou vir my as jy dalk woonplek soek, sal jy nooit spyt he dat jy hierheen gekom het nie. Ek en my dogter was verbaas en vra toe vir die eienaar, Mathilda, of ons ‘n week kan kry om te dink – daar het in die week ‘n vrou dood gegaan so daar was ‘n opening. Ek woon nou ‘n jaar hier en was nie een dag spyt nie. Atmosfeer is rustig, helpers een en almal besonder hulpvaardig, vriendelik en bekwaam. Mense, Ken die Heer in al jou wee.

My mom joined the Dolphins Cnr family in October 2018 and we have been very happy with the care that she has been given. When you walk into Mathilda and Hercules home you feel a very warm welcome every time you arrive. The employees and care givers are well trained and always go out of their way. They have a passion for their work and show a lot of love care and respect towards the guests. The guests are given well thought out and well planned balanced meals daily, and my mom who has always been a very small person has put on some weight and is looking very healthy. What makes Dolphins Corner special is the individual attention that the guests receive. Our family is so blessed to have found Dolphins Corner and we could not ask for a better place for our mom.
